The Fifth Xiamen University Programming Contest & the Fourteenth Technical Staff Competition (for programmers) was rounded off. After 6-hour’s competition, Chen Xueyu, 2007 master student of Information, Science and Technology Institute and Zheng Chenchao, programmer from Beijing Langxin Information System Co., Ltd Xiamen Branch won the two titles. Li Fenfen, Deputy Secretary of Party Committee in the institute, and Yang Jiqing, Deputy General Manager of ChinaNetCenter Xiamen Office attended the opening ceremony and gave speeches.

It is said that the two races were held according to ACM-ICPC model. ACM/ICPC（ACM International Collegiate Programming Contest）is considered as the largest and famous programming contest worldwide, which has been under great attention among international universities and companies since it began in 1970.

After the establishment of Xiamen R&D center in 2004, ChinaNetCenter has concerned with the development of information technology. As one of the largest CDN and IDC service providers in-home, ChinaNetCenter considers promotion of information technology application and professionals training as its social responsibility. And the contest sponsorship is just a part of the plan, much more will be put into practice.
